Yeah, I think this is one of the, "Metal Storm", systems. There are a couple of designs. Still hard to beat a Minigun for man operated rates of fire!

The Metal Storm is a full on real military system though.The reason I like the .22 machine gun is the fact it's a miniture like the cannon.

My dad made a Gatling Gun at college. It was never meant to fire a round but it more or less worked. Breaches were about a .22 size. Lovely bit of kit it was!

VERY Cool cannon!
This reminds me of the time my brother found a pen gun in some of my fathers junk.
My father was a junk collector (yard sales/goodwill/whatever).

My brother found what looked like an ink pen in a car my dad had packed full of junk.
He somehow made it fire and shot the window of the car out:)
We really thought it was just a regular pen and not a gun.
Thank goodness he was pointing it away when it fired.
Geesh, I haven't thought about that in years.

I thought that on the first shot in part one. 1. Firing in the house, expelling gunpowder stink. 2 and 3, firing on a glass table with no backstop to keep the bearing out of the sheetrock.. From there it just gets worse, not that I didn't do stupid and inconsiderate poo when I was young. Come to think of it, I can't believe my dad had the restraint to not kick the snot out of me for a lot of it.

I've always wanted a .22lr, full auto. That 36 barrel contraption is pretty neat. 180 round / 36 barrels = 5 rounds each barrel, seemingly blurting all rounds out instantaneously, awesome.

I don't think so. Hydrogen needs a spark or flame to ignite in air and I didn't see any spark from that projectile hitting the balloon. So, it must be some pyrophoric (explodes on contact with air [not needing ignition source]) gas. Probably Diborane, Phosphine, Silane or similar gas.

Don't put thermite in a gun. 1: Hard to ignite, 2: Slow burning and 3: It will ruin the barrel.

Thermite doesn't burn fast enough to act as a propellant.

Thermite is for where you need lots of heat. Not for a quick blast.

Also, don't blow up fluorescent tubes either. They are filled with mercury vapour.
