Flashlight Review, Maratac AAA

I got the Maratac AAA from Country Comm

The Maratac AAA comes in Natural Type III Hard Anodize or Black Type III Hard Anodize. I purchased only the Natural Type III Hard Anodize version.





Came shipped like this.



Uses a Cree XPE. The tint on my light is a warm color.

3 stage twist the head. 3 level medium. low and high. Will not remember it's last level. None of that irritating strobe or SOS.

Twisting action is very smooth.

The battery tube uses a spring.



The first thing I noticed was how small the Maratac AAA is. One of the smallest AAA lights I have.

Using A Single Duracell AAA battery we got the following results:
Medium Mode, 18lm Output for 4 Hours
Low Mode, 1.5lm Output for 50 Hours
High Mode, 62lm Output for 48 Minutes

In the following beam shots I used fully charged Energizer Rechargeable AAA Nimh 850mAh Batteries.



Rechargeable Lithiums 10440 are not recommended but are being used. It's much brighter but gets hot very fast.

When I first saw the Maratac AAA I was amazed at it's size. It's very small.

The fit and finish is excellent.

A very good deal for the price except the shipping was very expensive at $8.00. I also had to pay California tax because I live in California.
