I'll trade you. :beer:We're going down to ~37F tonight and I think it was ~34F last night. (3°C and 1°C respectively for people that use normal units of measurement. )

I guess i hate the sorter length of daylight even more than the temperature drop though.

Though we don't get completely dark days here in the netherlands they do turn pretty short in the middle of winter, to under 8 hours of daylight around xmas. Even worse is that DST will kick in next month moving sunset down an extra hour instantly.

I hope i'll get the resources to travel to the far east for as long as possbile to avoid the hwhole mysery. And while Iraq doesn't sound appealing i'd rather be in the nicer parts of the middle east (say egypt, jordan etc) than here right now.

Yeah, days get quite short in central Europe. The town my dad is in, Meudon, which is a little Southwest of Paris only gets about 8h:15min of daylight at peak solstice. I actually like the long nights. You can bundle up, have some hot chocolate and relax. It does usually get to around 1 Celsius during the day however, and freezing in the morning isn't uncommon.

Well yeah, the amount of daylight is constant between years, and it is i pretty short around xmas time, a but under the figure for paris there in the netherlands.

Temperaturs vary wildly between some years, we have ones where snow falls and remains for several weeks, and ones without any significant snow problem (or snow that just melts away the next day), there is no way to tell what each year will bring.

Climate change may be a trend in the order of a few degrees per century on average, but differences between years can be 10 or 20 degrees given for a particular day of the year, and we recently hit a cold record (a in coldest september-something since 1900)

Yeah now it's definitively autumn also here in Switzerland the leafes turn Brown and it gets cold.
