I used to have one, it was dependable and I got rid of it when it had 99k.
Yours looks pretty sharp. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks as long as you are happy with it. It's a good first car.

Good luck and happy 4 wheeling!

Eek, rebuilt engine.

Better hope it was done properly ;)

The guy had it done by a place I used to live by. It always seemed to have fairly "nicer" cars there. So far its been great with the exception of replacing 2 sensors that came on the original engine, never being replaced. So far I love it! Not to mention that driving standard is a blast.

Too much rice??? Rice is where its at granted its not a honda lol..

Toyota is the way.. Bulletproof engines, and drivelines.

To the OP, if you want 4x4 and reliable look at the FJ series or BJ42
Toyota Landcruisers. Great to work on, lots of aftermarket and they are tanks..

BJ42 diesels are rare in the US, but their FJ gas brothers are not as hard to
find..

Gear ratio in low in sick and perfect for crawling. Jeeps are tin cans..

The only jeeps I ever liked were the 40's, 50's & 60's willys jeep.

Or if an 800hp daily driver is a bit more your thing, you can save up
for a nice Supra :san:

Tin cans you say? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE5EpMtiHhY&feature=related
