Anyone who read one of the books will understand why this is a fail... a moronic, shortsighted, casting fail.

There isn't a chance in hell I'm going to go see that movie in theaters. I mean if they did it as a standalone movie, called him just about anything else, it might make for a decent action flick.

As it is, the only audience they are likely to reach will be composed of imbeciles too dumb to read the book, and those who just want to turn off their brains altogether for 90 minutes.

I mean they automatically alienated a core audience of devoted fans... :wtf: were they thinking?

This seriously irks me... I love book to movie adaptations, and I'm all for them usually... but stick to at least MOST of the elements that made the book a great read.
