straight line. In the upper pic, there is a "dent", in the lower pic there is a "bump".

The rescue helicopter one was pretty bad but at least he didn't keep flying the bird.
There was a guy out west of here that had a strike and then flew back instead of immediately landing.
They basically had to take the entire transmission apart now and rebuild it, the airframe had to be inspected and I think even parts of the engine (like bearings) had to be replaced even though the strike didn't do any actual damage.
He spent years getting his heli license, many thousands of dollars in debt, and killed his career in his first year.
He was a good guy too, just not thinking.
The "STARS" helicopter (air ambulance) got a tail strike when he was picking up one of our loggers many many years ago. My father was waving him forward (quite frantically at the end) but the idiot pilot knew best kept moving back until he backed into a big willow.
HE flew the helicopter back though, should have been fired for that one...
