Ebay SNAFU's- are they trying to steal our money?!

Hello I was a long time ebay seller. Today i got a notice that they probably will suspend my ebay account. They told me that my buyer satisfaction has dropped below 95%. When I do the math it turns out this is not true. I also noticed pay-pal was pulling all sorts of BS such as making payments disappear for several days making me guess if it was paid for real or not. Furthermore It seems a lot of my communications don't make it. Admittedly i'm a little on the slow side as far as shipping goes because one man can only pack so much stuff, but they are saying i'm so bad that i deserve to be kicked off- all of a sudden. This is the part i find most curious.

All this BS stuff happens when all my dsr's go to 96% or better in all categories.

Has anyone else noticed similar things happening? I am thinking they have a program that is trying to screw the sellers who get eligible for fee discounts, and their idea of suspension has more to do with the EBAY BUCKS i accumulated than seller non performance.

Re: Ebay SNAFU's- are they trying to steal our mon

Hey Pal! I wish I knew more to help with information. I also have bought from you through ebay and was very happy with the products, (filters) and the quick shipping, and would let ebay know again if you like. They shut me down once, actually through PP as they were unsure I was honestly selling real jewelry and gold coins! Of course I would never sell anything phony and risk mail fraud charges, besides, if I make any deal, I treat those who buy just as I would want to be treated. But they re-connected my account and said, "lots of gold selling is suspect of abuse" So, some excuse!

I have had problems with Ebay but of a different sort - I can't tell you how many of my auctions have been shut down in error in the past - and then they always re-instate my listing when I complain about it! There are some real dim bulbs working for Ebay for sure....

But as for feedback, I've seen plenty of sellers with feedback of around 92% or so and they manage to not get suspended - not sure what's going on there. Ebay can be a good place to make a buck but it can also be very, very aggravating....IMO I'd complain - loudly and a lot! Last time one of my items was pulled I really let that customer service rep have it - I wouldn't be surprised if his ears are still ringing! Since then, none of my listings have been pulled.....

to OP: if you sell so much, you should really consider making your own website and selling that way. it is about $0.01-$0.05 per day to host a website at www.nearlyfreespeech.com and you can register a domain (domain = whatever.com) at www.register.com for free for 1 year.

ebay sucks. i was also banned (not for low feedback, i had 100%, was for other reasons that i don't agree with)and I had a lot of extra stuff to sell... so i made a website!

it's a great alternative but you won't get as much traffic as ebay... that comes with time and hard work (fast shipping & good products) word of mouth is the best advertisement.
