Hey maybe you guys have not seen this yet but this is a great tool for downloading FLV videos from a lot of sites. Download Online Videos Save Direct Easily - Savevid.com

Either copy and paste the URL for the video into the download box, or drag and drop the "Save Video" button from the tool box at the right onto your browser toolbar. This way its just one click when you are on the page with the video you want downloaded.

Happy downloading!! :beer:

That site lets you download all the video options. MP4 and all 3 FLV qualities. Standard, HQ, and HD. Only if offered though. If the video is uploaded at standard quality obviously HQ, and HD will not be offered. Check it out...

javascript:window.location.href%20=%20'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id='%20+%20swfArgs['video_id']%20+%20"&fmt=22"%20+%20"&l="%20+%20swfArgs['l']%20+%20"&sk="%20+%20swfArgs['sk']%20+%20'&t='%20+%20swfArgs['t'];

Paste that in the address as a bookmark in your firefox browser, then while watching a HD-vid on youtube, open it in the bookmark-tab and it will get downloaded at excellent quality, pretty much UNCHANGED! :beer:

Edit: it downloads in mp4-format.

humansmphony showed me IDM (internet download manager) and it displays a "download" button on every media link on the page. For example youtube videos will have a "download" next to it, as well as other FLV players. Even the myspace music player and other things you wouldn't be able to download very easily have a "download" button next to them, it's very nice!

I use something called Orbit. It's a program rather than a website, but can be used in conjunction with firefox in the right-click menu. It can download any flash based material in a web page you're viewing.
