My first car was a LTD station wagon too Wayne. I didnt have the money to put it on the road, so I used to do burn outs in my driveway.

Did you know I never took a driving test? I had an Atlanta driving permit that looked just like the drivers license except it had 1L (learners) instead of 1 D (drivers). When I came home I told the DMV that it was a license and they believed it, and gave me a new drivers license LOL. I had met a chick in Florida and brought her back with me, and she did the same thing. I dont think, post 911, you can do this anymore.

I wrecked my LTD, it was Halloween night 1982, some creep threw a rotten tomato at me as I drove by, I went into road rage and chased the guy, he ducked for cover behind the church, I went through the wall of the church after losing control in the loose gravel.

Pastor let me rebuild the wall instead of filing charges.

1959 Rambler American Station Wagon
It was 10 years old. I was 15

The radiator boiled over into my face on a trip to Northern California once. I sold it to an Airman at Castle AFB and hitchhiked home

I had 4 cars at one point. There was a glitch in the law that stated you could attach a plate for 3 days after the bill of sale. This was before you needed titles for every car. So I'd just throw the plate on the car I wanted to use that day. All I had to was rewrite the bill of sale every couple of days. Now you need a title for every car.

I've gone full circle and my 'new' car is a white '99 Merc sable wagon and just like the first one in '69, its my father's old car.. (but I still ride a BMW K100 too)==HAK

I'd be ready to buy that receiver now... looks like a mini-me of my McIntosh MC 275
and trust me when I say that I paid a whole lot more (for it used...) than "that" Mom did...
