Yes -- Your cell phone can kill you. For damn sure...
Your phone emits handshake signals occasionally to
keep in touch with a cell site.
These signals are monitored by drones looking for you
and if you hear a whistle sound -- It's too late :)

Not sure how tungsten would end up in your body, unless you like eating the internals of the cell phone... or your wedding ring is made out of it. :shhh:

I second this.. Also Tungsten is quite resistant to oxidation, so I too am unsure of how it would end up in our bodies.:thinking:

That being said, Tungsten is the heaviest element known that is used by living organisms.

You have zero control over this, unless you're eating light bulbs and tooling tips on a regular basis. They're talking about environmental contaminants.

Strokes in people under 50 are incredibly rare anyways. XKCD:

Broken link aside, to make it perfectly clear to those who are unaware: the danger in throiated tungsten is not the tungsten. It is THORIUM, because it is radioactive. The low level radiation helps ionize gas to more easily start an arc. It is used in many arc lamps for this reason as well.

Back 1000 years ago you could go outside and exercise any day without worrying about smog...

And you'd have a life expectancy of 30.
