...$400! It's nice, but I don't think I could bring myself to even use a knife that costs that much...
FWIW, I heard of people finding them for ~$250. But regardless, you're right; mine's a so-called safe queen. I "use" the standard Griptilian as well as the stonewashed Doug Ritter Griptillian (also pictured above).

That's better. But still, I don't think I would ever buy a knife to look at. 150 bucks is about my limit! Although I still can't get over how amazing that looks. Who knows, maybe one day I'll cave.

Traveller,

You've got some great looking knives there. My Benchmade Rift is not as nice as yours. I have number 185 out of 200. I do buy my knives online. My preferred site is Shop for case knives, Kershaw and other discount knives at Knifeworks.com . I have been buying from them for years. I have bought a few knives from eBay before, but only from reputable sellers. I have to admit that most of my knives are safe queens. I carry my Benchmade 710 daily though. That is why it is kind of beat up. I don't know if I can bring myself to carry some of the knives I have.

ok have to add my own "knife" I made this almost 10 years back so it's some of my earlier work. I didn't do the laser etching on the blade. I had it done for me. Ironically long before I got into lasers. but it's somehow more appropriate these days.

The runes on the blade read Tviskipting which means dichotomy. Handle is ebony, crosspiece and pommel are sterling silver, with a touch of 14k gold around the opal in the center of the crosspiece, and on the back of the dagger.

Hey, I'll take 'em both! Nothing like the feeling of carbon fiber grips...
Yes, a lot of collectors do their shopping at Knifeworks! Their prices are great - unfortunately, international shipping & Customs fees kill that buzz real quick. That's why I buy "locally" (when visiting the States) or from trusted knife-forum members. That LE Rift came from a forum member that owns no less than 350 Benchmades...

Nice dagger! Was it a one-off or do you make knives regularly? Did you finish it with v-grinds or are the edges convex...?

Definitely a one of a kind piece. I don't regularly make knives. The edges are sharp enough to sharpen fully if I chose, but at the moment they are less sharp then they could be. It's a display piece, so I don't want it too sharp.

Aside from the occasional SAK, it's been a while since I picked up any new knives but I made up for it last week... :D

Sweet... a knives thread. I picked up a few blades over time that I'd like to add here :)

Wolverine claw.... Punching anything alive with this would probably be fatal

Skullface blade.... Not too practical, just looks cool

Samurai sword (Kill Bill replica) Completely for show. If I hit anything with this it would probably shatter

Niiice :)
What color is the Scarab handle's "frame"? It almost looks like brass, but I'm guessing it's the flash...

Btw, what's that white box with the Chinese characters...? *EDIT* Never mind, I didn't know you were situated in Asia :)
