From a purely medical/physical standpoint, our brains do not mature until we are in our mid twenties. There is some variation of course, but as a general rule that is the case.
Hate to break it to you, but in the following objective categories you are inferior: financial, legal, education, and physical. Like it or not.
None of this has to do with your ***uality (imo) but you seem fairly intelligent, so I encourage you to consider that what you don't know, and what you haven't had a chance to experience, does put you at a disadvantage. Don't worry though... you don't have to take my word for it, you'll get to experience it firsthand in life, probably many times.
I'm not going to comment on the actual topic. That's between you and you. I know you don't believe it now, but one day, when you've actually experienced being grown up, you will come to realize that at 14 you are not the person who you will become. It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to understand that, because you haven't lived it. Don't worry, all teens think exactly the way you do, they are all wrong. This is no slight to you, just a fact of life.
If I was the same person now that I was when I was 14, I'd be calling you all sorts of terrible names and telling you what an awful person you are.... fortunately we are all dumb at 14.

I'm 16, and I know alot of people who are either the same age or younger than me that have more mental capability then alot of "matured" age people. I dont think the OP needs to think about his situation, it is something that HE just knows. BUT it is undeniable that in most situations with age comes experience... Something that cannot be taught or *bought*.

Exactly my point, what Infinitus said, at 14 you have the reaction someone 14 would have as the tone of your posts show.
You have a lot years of growing to do and a lot of learning and experience to get--a lot about life and living to learn.
Enjoy your teen years--they are an all expenses paid vacation compared to real adult world.
You have plenty of time to learn and move in many directions try out many adult behaviors/choices/things before adult decisions need to be made or your are otherwise forced to a default into a slot/position by society in general.
If you have problems with your choices on a personal level or declaring them on a social level with people that have little if any interest in them, seek professional help or counseling about how to handle that personal issue.
You decide what is good for you in life and living-- you have to live it , nobody else.
Life and it's meaning to you is up to you. It is a 24/7 job and an individual's responsibility.

I suspect that this topic has a lot less to do with brain development, and a lot more to do with hormone development and puberty, which is certainly happening at that age.
But frankly this is all well outside the wheelhouse of expertise we have here on a forum about lasers ;p

Not a problem so to speak, just really didn't see the relevance of a picture of a potato and a cucumber. Especially having just those pictures as a reply and nothing else.
As stated before, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Some people just need to learn to keep their opinions to themselves in certain situations.
OP was not looking for a debate, he was just looking for support. If someone didn't have support to give, they had no reason to post in this thread other than to just cause problems, which unfortunately some people love to do.

I agree with you to an extent. Its almost like those girls on facebook that post pics of themselves and they want you to say how pretty they. But when someone is honest they get offended and delete your comment and remove you from friends.
