I believe after some relaxation and calming the mind, one gets fantastic benefits from visualizations of a better you, or other goals being achieved. Also using little people as agents of visualized healing and health building can do a lot for the meditative. A writer who wrote on this, wrote the book: "Think and become rich" (by Napoleon Hill) before self help books were everywhere.

^ naah, meditation is not "do nothing" ..... "meditate" is still doing something.

Try to really do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for 2 minutes (tip: as example, breathing is still "doing something" ..... but also intentionally hold breath is "doing something" ..... :p :D)

Yes as Himnl9 stated it is theoreticaly impossible to do nothing, because by doing nothing you are actually still doing something, also it just involves something non constructive....
the only time you can DO nothing is probbaly when you are dead....

^ well, being extremely picky :p, you can say that you are doing something also when you are dead ..... you are standing somewhere (bed, obituary or grave, don't care), and you are also slowly decomposing for bacteria action ..... still "doing" something, technically :D

Probably the only way for really do nothing, is simply not existing :p :D

well by not existing you are DOING nothing because you dont exist and not existing is doing something.

Well I like to disagree with you there, when you're decomposing, it's the worms "doing" you.:D:D
I know you're just joking though.:D
Once you're dead, you're really done doing stuff.

But yeah, while you're alive you cannot "do nothing", but you can come pretty close.;)

"I think, therefore I am," but if you're not thinking, you cannot know if you exist or not.

No, it's different ..... not existing you are not "doing nothing" you are simply "not doing" :p :D

Well, here is matter of will ..... decomposing, you are not doing anything intentionally, but your body is still doing an action (decomposing), so, regardless if you are doing it yourself or if there's a third agent (worms, bacteria, anything) that is causing it, you (as "your body" intended) are still doing something (as "doing decomposition" action) :p :D

"I think, therefore I am," but if you're not thinking, you cannot know if you exist or not.

Yes, but "not thinking" is still an action, so also not thinking you are doing something :p :D

And yes, i'm just kidding (sorta of :p), it's the only way for discuss about something that involve philosophy without get a headache in change, imho ;)
