Hi there all,

I will try an make a long story short.

After a few threads, i have decided to make an auction/buy now site, aimed at lasers, parts, accessories, tools, and anything else laser related.
the "end" result: is this : LaserSale - Source for Lasers, Parts, Accessories And Tools

Now, as for my request.

This is to the people that regularly sell stuff on LPF, would u take 10 minutes of your time, and register an account, and post a few listings for your items..

This benefits yourself, as u can attract buyers, who would normally not visit LPF, but would normally end up on a chinese cheap site, can now end up on lasersale.

At the moment, i have an adwords campaign running for this site, as i recieved free adverising credits when purchasing my domainname, so there are effectively, already visitors on there, that are there for the sole purpose of buying a laser/parts/etc

This will benefit all of us in the future, as there will be a place, where u have a nicely indexed list, off all the available laser related stuff, not only from LPF, but from all other sources aswell (except cheap chinese ones, as they will get the boot)

to clarify:

i am not trying to draw ayone away from LPF, i encourage u to POST your items on LPF FIRST AND FOREMOST.

Listings on lasersale.org are completely free of charge.

There are no transaction fees or whatever, payments are made directly from the buyer, to the seller, we do not touch your transaction whatsoever.

ps: there is some interrest, from a few good companys, that have recieved good reviews here, but i feel like they are reluctant to post listings, as long as their is not enough content on the site.

Thx to those who have gone trough the effort of listing a few items already.
and thx in advance, to those who are willing to take a few minutes of their time, for the good cause :)

i think it is a bad idea for the hobby. at least here sellers more or less know who they are selling too. i think it would be too easy for morons to pick up a class IV.

IC, when we are talking about complete lasers, this is true.

But it would sure be usefull for

parts/tools/accessories, wich i assume u are OK with, selling these to anyone

After all, u can list what u want, if u dont feel confident selling high power lasers trough somewhere, where u dont really know the buyer's "level of laser and safety knowledge", then u dont list them, but u can still list several parts, etc, that u have lying around.

Or maybe it is indeed a good idea, to not list complete lasers altogether?..

This isnt only for people like rhd, selling mosquito's in quantity, but also for anyone, who has only 1 or 2 spare parts lying around.

How would u feel about this?

Well... for the moment I'm not overly concerned since very few people are aware of it... down the road, selling complete handhelds might be an issue legally.

@whitewhidow - Look into why pictures are not showing up... do they have to be uploaded to your site? Seemed to work fine in preview.

i have added your pics to the thread myself, i tought u where talking about the pics in the "image gallery" (the first one from the gallery, is the one used as main pic, in the list of listings).

How exactly did u try to add them to the text, did u use the "image" button en the editor, or did u just copy-paste it in?

Used the image button... the standard [*img]pic[*/img] code didn't work.

Although in preview all the pics did work... they are being hosted through photobucket, but I'm sure you know that already;)

So did u then just input the url?

BBcode doesnt work on there, thats true, i might have to implement that later on, now that u mention it, since forum members know how to work with it already
