Hey guys,

So recently it has come to my attention that glasses capable of taking first person videos are not as expensive as I expected them to be, majority of prices seem to be set sub-$100 ...

Anyway, I browsed a while on DX (because I'm a cheapass), and while I did find some nice looking stuff:
USB Rechargeable 3.0MP Pin-hole Spy AV Camera Disguised as Working MP3 Player Sunglasses (4GB) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

Or,
Rechargeable Spy Sunglasses MP3 Player + Hidden Camera Camcorder + Bluetooth (8GB Memory) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

But not one model out of few dozens of camera glasses they have is available, they are ALL sold out, seemingly permanently.

So went to browse a bit more, and so far I've seen that cheapest DX cameras are known for their problems and bugs here and there, but when they do work, they work really, really nicely.

So I thought it be a cool gadget to have - listening to some nice music and filming some first person parkour/laser nightshooting, while also doubling for data storage device and ofcourse, cool sunglasses.

...And here I am, not knowing where to even start looking.
In short, I'd like something in $50-60 range, reliable enough, quality of video doesn't need to be spectacular, as long as the picture isn't tearing and being all wavy like on cheap webcams, it has to be an MP3 player.

I don't need wireless connectivity or FM radio. It would be preferable it's not a "spy style" concealed camera, I have no problem with it looking a bit high-tech and eye-grabbing (teh pun).

So I thought that maybe some of you folks would have some reccomendations, what to go for, what to avoid, do's and don'ts. Which brands/models are cool, best for price, which are not.

I'd even accept second-hand pair of glasses if anybody wants to get rid of them or something - cash+trade are also options.

Thanks in advance for any info or deals!

Well, if it is only to play a little, here's a model similar to the second that you
have posted, (with no Bluetooth or FM radio) but this one is much cheaper, about 22 €.

And for a little more you have another, but with 6 lens of different colors and 2M pixel camera.

Edit: The second seller does not send to Croatia :(

The first looks looks really nice, almost exactly the same as some other DX model, with in-ear phones and all.

I just wish I could see the reviews for THAT particular exact listing, so I know what I'm buying.

I can easily check up "camera goggles" on eBay, but as I said, I have no idea what models or brands should I look out for, and which to avoid.

Thank you anyway, I will save that listing if that model proves to be good. I'll Google it around a bit.

Well, for 22 Euro I would not expect wonders, but to play a little I guess they are worth.

Good luck in your search

Yeah, I did more searching around and it looks like that from sub$50, there are no models and brands, there's what appears to be only one single model of glasses with camera on whole eBay and price just varies depending on wether it's got MP3 or not, and with what memory cards is it sold with (if any).

Link

And I don't really like that design all that much, but I guess if there's nothing else...

Anybody?
