you reminded me i need to get my old e-maxx out and running again. i'd go with the traxxas, there is always a large following of aftermarket parts. rpm's indestructible a-arms, shock towers, ect
also, check prices for metal driveshafts (cvd's?)
my emaxx with 19 turn modded motors breaks the stock shafts. the remaining ones are all twisted in one direction from wear

Oh trust me, it does not do the same thing. That's like saying a calculator does the same as a computer. You can program every aspect of every servo. Motor RPMs and power curves. Everything else is just an xmod.

Well I like said I'm sure it's an awesome radio. But I wanna get the car first before I worry about upgrades.

Thanx for the help guys! ;D

I like the Traxxas.  I have a Nitro Rustler with a 3.3 which is way more then it can handle!  I had to put 4 AA batteries up front for weight, and it still flips over backwards when you tap the gas!  As far as electric goes, you won't be dissapointed, except for the fact that the lipo batteries don't last forever and it's a shame when they go bad, but they do last a long time!  I use the thunder power batteries and with my experiences with them I wouldn't go with another!  I have two Durratrax 1/18 scales fixed up with 11 V lipo, Mamba 25 ESC, and brushless motors, metal axels, and other various upgraded parts.  They are 1/18 scale with the power to easily drive the 1/8 scales!  My Mini Quake is a mini monster, I also had to put weight up front because it likes to flip over backward too, and it's 4WD!  It tears through the grass with ease and is actually designed with a low gear sprocket for low torque perfect for off roading.  My Vendetta is designed for high top end although it does have no problem with low torque power drifting!  It too is AWD.

I should really update this thread http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1228368182/16

Because I've put it through some serious use since then and had to do some more upgrading...
