Hey all,

Well after completing the MXDL torch mod, its brightness is amazing. Its very useful for fishing at night and other stuff. I want to see what other torches people here can recommend for under $50(preferably around the $30 dollar mark) which will be much brighter than the MXDL torch mod.

Id prefer to be off DX, but will look at other sites.

Also if anyone has one for sale(il post in the wtb section), please let me know.

Thanks

This is what I have, it seem really bright, but I have no idea what it is in lumens. Not sure if it is brighter than those others either.

Those aren't so great. I have one of them and it eats 6 AA's in no time. Also the light from it isn't focused and it doesn't have much throw. Not bad for the price but there are better options out there.

Unfortunately its not 900 lumen's, it is being driven at 1.3a which is only about 320ish lumen.

If you want 900lumens your going to have to wait until a reputable company comes out with flashlight using the p7.

Although if you want to make your own right now and you are good at modding..http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=195358

Is there any reason why they are driving them at such a low amount of current? A single 18650 can easily supply 2-3 amps. If they are advertising 900 lumens and it only puts out 320 that is a total scam.

I'm going to probably get one and im going to get it tested for output. If the output is lower than the stated, i will try and push it to see how far it goes.
