Boy Scouts Popcorn Sale

Dear LPF community,
I am currently a member of Boy Scouts but, scouting has gotten more and more expensive over the years and that combined with having a difficult year last year my budget has gotten very tight. I don’t want to have to quit scouting but it is starting to look like I might have to. Scouting has become a very large portion of my life and I would like to continue on in scouting. I am currently a part of the leadership/senior patrol in my scout troop, which means that I am one of the scouts that helps run the troop. For those of you who don’t know this, Boy Scouts troops are run by the scouts around 60-70% of the time. I am currently one of the scouts who helps to run the troop. I really enjoy my job of helping keep things running, helping the younger scouts, and helping the community.
Lucky for me my troop has popcorn sales; it is used as a means for scouts to raise money to pay for campouts and summer camp, to make scouting a little bit less expensive. I have tried selling door to door but it is more difficult than one might imagine, especially when you have lost your cute factor. I was hoping that some of you would be willing to buy some popcorn. Also in case you were wondering the popcorn is really good.

Hmm not sure where to start with this, can see your dedicated but you have no location listed there are scouts all over the world ...I'm on my cell phone so the link is only partially working .I couldn't see what the postage is to Australia for one ....This is a rather unusual thread for a laser forum, someone else feel free to pop ( pardon the pun) in and have some input.

This site seems legitimate, i think it is like a sponsorship thing where a certain percent of sales goes towards the scouts or whoever you are sponsoring. As for Australian shipping i dont think so. Importing foods is probably more risky than importing lasers!

Hmmm my boy is a star scout very close to being a life scout. While you have been very direct I would be a little more upfront at least in terms about the timeframe of receiving the product and what's in it to the individuals scout.

While the popcorn is very good it is a very pricey...

importing food into Australia yeah another customs nightmare ....

I just became an Eagle Scout, and I can vouch to say that this is legitimate. A portion of sales DOES go towards Scouting and towards the Scout (indirectly) whom you referred when you purchase your products. Hope you all can pitch in :beer:

I don't think its a case of it being legit ...but there were questions asked that needed a bit more clarification on and i agree it may be great popcorn but it is rather expensive and he hasn't updated his location from my first reply ,About 1 minute time to do so.

Sorry it took a while but I updated my location. The popcorn would ship from somewhere in the USA, but I don't know exactly where.

OK thanks on the location, its not like its for a good cause and your endeavor shows a good deal of resourceful ness ...its just not your usual thread on a laser forum i wish you well on US forum members buying some ...regards
