JK, my dad gets them free from his work. theyre bit used (only a bit) and i tried with multimeter, a battery powering a fan was 8.7 volts. i tried about 10 batts all were about the same.

So my red diy laser will last quite a bit with these :yh:

Also got the parts for DDL driver today. Now i need the diode from hightechdealZ.

Why my pictures wont show up using the "insert image" thing??

Your pictures won't show up because that link you have is a link to your image hosting site. In order to get a link to the actual picture, right click on the picture and select "copy image URL" or "view image." (this can vary depending on the browser.)
Here's the link to the actual picture: http://www.aijaa.com/img/b/00579/4377262.jpg
And I can use the IMG tags to show the picture:

Those batteries here are almost the most expensive ones you can get. I hate them and I hate every device that uses them.

9V batteries for a red laser? Umm...what driver are you using?

And why is this in the "Other" section?

all those batteries in series would give 765v DC if there all 9v.

put them in series, connect to tongue, post video.

LOL that tongue thing! Definitely wont.

If anyone is interested, my dad is working on tv studio. They use wireless microphones and they dont want to be on the middle of live show and notice that the mics are out of juice, Thats why they change the batts after every single use.

I could seriously send some, but i live in finland and i would not like to pay shipping fees.

a small 12v fan was quite noisy when i put a nice group of batts in series :)

BTW in t3h studios there are a sh*tload of these. the amount i took away was a little, compared to the HUGE boxes i saw , only full of 9v batts. i'd guess there is about 1000-2000 batts there, just rotting in shelves.

Fry things!!!

In physics class this year, during the electricity unit, I would connect D batteries in series, 10 or 20 of them, and see how fast I could make the resistors smoke. With 20 batteries, those little resistors would start in less than a second, and get so hot, they could char paper! That's only 30V...imagine 300V! TRY IT!!!

With so much power, you can anodize certain metal sheets. You could get some cool effects with titanium sheeting if you happen to have anything around.

i say you connect all 2000 batteries in series and then power a 5mW ebay green laser
to see how bright it gets
