My paypal account was frozen last December when they did a credit check. Thing is my credit is about average. I found that pay-pal is required by most if not all internet merchants to survive.

Axiz for example uses paypal as their internet and credit card processor. As a result all my credit cards were declined. It seems when they freeze your account they disenfranchise you entirely by blocking any transactions on all websites who happen to be using them as a CREDIT CARD payment processor, even if the CARD IS NOT REGISTERED WITH PAYPAL!

Also there are other payment methods, but ebay will not allow them if you allready have a paypal account-even if it is frozen! I am on other sites but the sales are too slow to make a living on or even consider a real source of income.

It is looking that ebay and paypal are forming a dangerous Bloc by getting a stranglehold on e-commerce using the ebay user customer base to their advantage as a tool to corner the marked by using their sole approved payment method. The blacklisting of people is allowing them Ebay and Paypal to exert an undue monopolistic disfranchisement effectively preventing a person from starting a business elsewhere unless it is using their product and services obtained under fraudulent credentials.

Anyone else had this problem or have any comments?

Ebay owns Paypal... and I wouldn't be surprised if this has happened to more people than just you.

Sounds like ebay is trying to force a retirement... from the whole internet.
I've of course read others with major paypal problems, mostly that they don't give a flying f*ck if your defrauded as long as your only a little fish & they still profit.

Off topic: I was/am interested in 980nm "lensed" diodes (FAC) I believe you were selling.
whats their divergence or spot size @ 10 ft?
Not too sure where you still sell items.

I tried to sell out, but the sale was contingent on the buyer's ability to sell on ebay, long story short she was attacked by several people on ebay and demanded the deal be cancled.

I am stuck with a lot of stuff I cannot sell. To make it even worse, I placed an order from axiz to build blue modules with the nicer lenses and all my cards were declined, because they use PAYPAL as their CC processor.

The point i am trying to make is that PAYPAL is using their weight as a market monopolizing and disenfranchisement tool by secretly blocking people from purchasing goods and services behind the scenes..

For example, if your paypal account got frozen for any reason, and you tried to buy a laser module from say axiz, with a credit card NOT LINKED to paypal you would not be able to because they put all the cards/accounts on your credit report on a blacklist.

Oh hey, have you tried AmEx gift cards? Up to $500 & any name/address is "approved", no need to register the name but for USA use only. Can be a different name/address for each purchase. No fees after purchase.
Blackhawk visa aka giftcardmall.com can be used worldwide (with no fees IIRC) but not available everywhere like AmEx. Must register name/address with giftcardmall/Blackhawk (name/address can not be changed).

I know that there are several credit cards prepaid and anonymous related to Visa or MasterCard that can be used worldwide.

If you use a Pre-Loaded (with actual money) payment card...
I can't see any way that it would be refused since you are
using your own cash and not a Credit Card Company's credit..

I've heard about things like this way too many times, I've always hated FeeBay and paypal, paypal is to the Internet as walmart is to the family owned grocery store. They will win, the government will protect them until they own every bit of the market.
