Anyone ever see this? It retails for 450$. I know many could build for much less. I could see someone hooking up a laser in the pen holder. But I would need a way to turn on and off the beam when the pen holder drops (on) and lifts (off)

Lol no on two counts, I plane to use on wood projects in my work shop, two I have a boyfriend, not a wife. Ha ha ha.
I just posted this to hear some opinions on the cost/quality of this opposed to having a gear head build one, then try to program it

What a great bit of kit.

Switching the beam off could be accomplished by mounting a microswitch to the pen arm, so when it drops to "draw" , the laser fires, you'd just have to set up the focal point.
