Uhm, what's strange ? ..... isn't that the usual creativity of film makers, recently ?

I think it closer resembles Dances with Wolves. I read an incredible description of how they were similar on /b/, but as I am sure your aware unless a samefag posts again then it is lost forever.

LMFAO!!! take that plot, ask a couple "heads" to describe tripping on shrooms in the woods, add a couple scenes robbed from dances with wolves and you've got Avatar!!!

Honestly avatar was an amazing movie that I won't be forgetting anytime soon. However the plot was kinda unoriginal and predictable IMO. It borrowed heavily from dances with wolves/pocahontus/ferngully.

Go see it in 3D for the awesome special effects. Just don't expect anything new or revolutionary in terms of plot.

All I could think of while watching Avatar was "didn't we do this sh!t to the Native Americans?"

It was an entertaining movie. Nothing more, nothing less.

Exactly what I have been hearing, great to watch, but nothing more than a remake.

Have to take the time and see it in 3D, something tells me it will be pretty disappointing without it.

Avatar is a very good movie, the visual effects are superb, but that's the only thing special with the film, all the rest, especially the plot are rather normal.

I watched it without 3D and it's a very loose movie...
