Australian's out there

anyone ordered since the june 1st ban.
particuly DX buyers.

was was it sent as?
power output?
if it were confiscated what happened, did they come to your house, warnings, fines etc.

do think i should order a true 30 or 30mw cr2 laser from DX and not to worry about the bans as im using it for astronomy.
i dont like wasting my money, $30 is still alot of money, i could buy the dreadful new Metallica album for that (probably more like $50 for Metallica though).

I personally haven't tried anything. Due to my current laser collection, I'd rather not try and draw that kind of attention to myself.

Plus, we don't know the risks. Is this just a bluff by customs? Do they just check if 'laser' is labelled on the package? Or do they open all suspicious packages and investigate the contents? We just don't know.

I'm still trying the legal way to get them in to the country. But I'm still interested if someone managed it illegally

well, maybe we need to see if there are any australian custom officers that are laser enthusiasts to help us then.
