Astrophotography

I'm a fan of Astrophotography and figured it would be enjoyable to have a thread where we could post our images and discuss them.

So here are a few of my shots to date, I'm fairly new to the concept, but enjoy it.

Nice work! I really like the 3rd picture down, with the orange colors agaisnt the black. Awesome picture of the Moon too.

Edit: IsaacT might chime in as he's a big fan of this kind of stuff.

Thank you. Yes! I was hoping he would, I'm a big fan of his work, especially the churchyard long exposures, and his stacked images of space. I've so far only worked with single frames, but I do love some of his stacked shots. He's in Texas, so he has some very interesting landscapes.

I'm in the UK as well, are you going to be staying up late to view / photograph the Perseid meteor shower over the next few nights?

Haha cheers guys! :thanks: Ped yes, hopefully if the clouds stay away and I stay awake. Luckily this week I'm working 5 days on 2 off at only 50 hrs this week, so it's allowed me some time. I'll see what pictures I can take. :thanks:
