Hey dave,
One thing i really never understood was the use of the term "ban".
I always thought if a person was banned from a form then, that's that.
Would i be wrong in thanking that a person that would be allowed to come back as a member after some "cool down" time would be suspended?

Un-banned? It just doesn't seem to fit the term.

There is nothing in the concept of banishment that would prohibit a ban being temporary.

To be removed against one's will (usually under the color of authority) does not imply permanence. In practice, in society, I would posit that most "bans" are temporary in nature.

i rebanned him i think before i had put a time limit ban on him
