I hate that they made global/environment issues political. Because all politics are divided no matter where you are in the world.

ANY time that money and jobs are involved, politics is sure to follow

I didnt mean it that way. I meant that if you are doing nothing, (living your life the same way you always have) you really are contributing to the problem.

People need to stop thinking of themselves, and think about their kids, their families kids, and their friends kids too. Its them we are doing for, not us. With all the environment being distributed, no one knows the actual repercussions. Not only do we depend on the environment to live, but most of the disease cures have come from it. If we can slow this down by just changing some of our habits, I dont see the problem. Its ignorant in my mind to ignore this and pretend its not happening, because it is. All you have to do is open your eyes, and you'll see its plain as day. We didnt start it, but we sure as hell are helping it along at an alarming rate.

We are simply a self-aware species watching our coming demise.

I wonder how many other (or if there were other) self-aware species suffered a similar fate.

Peace,

Global "warming" is a bunch of bull started by  Al Gore, you know the guy who created the Internet; Wanna purchase $$$$ some carbon credits??:crackup: How about Al's very spacious house and it's "carbon footprint"? He doesn't want to talk about that.

Florida last year had the coldest year on record, some days it was even colder than it was in NJ....so now they have changed it to "Global climate change", gotta love it. The earth has always went through these cycles.

Obviously you didnt read any of this thread, and are just defecating what has been programed in you by the conservative propaganda machine. If you dont believe that, you just said verbatim what 1000's of other conservative people say. How about having an intelligent thought that no one has said before? Maybe something objective, and original instead of spreading that lame one side opinion that you heard from some other group of clowns.

This is why I stated earlier why I hated that this has become political. Screw Al Gore. In reality he has nothing to do with this at all. Wake up. Its a global situation. Global warming effects climates, not just temperature. Its because of the altered jet steams is the reason why Florida had a record cold spell. What you fail to notice that New England had a record heat wave this year. Do some research, and form your own opinion, instead of echoing some political babel. Maybe then people will think you have a brain, instead of being a mindless drone.

Anyone read about Climategate and those "leaked" emails..

(Pretty juicy stuff in there)

"And don't leave stuff lying around on ftp sites - you never know who is
trawling them. The two MMs have been after the CRU station data
for years. If they ever hear there is a Freedom of Information Act
now in the UK, I think I'll delete the file rather than send to anyone.
Does your similar act in the US force you to respond to enquiries
within 20 days? - our does ! The UK works on precedents, so the
first request will test it. We also have a data protection act, which I
will hide behind. Tom Wigley has sent me a worried email when he
heard about it - thought people could ask him for his model code.
He has retired officially from UEA so he can hide behind that.” – Phil
Jones"

"Here are some speculations on correcting SSTs
to partly explain the 1940s warming blip. If you
look at the attached plot you will see that the
land also shows the 1940s blip (as I’m sure you
know). So, if we could reduce the ocean blip by,
say, 0.15 degC, then this would be significant for
the global mean—but we’d still have to explain
the land blip.” – Tom Wigley"

"The fact is that we can't account for the lack of
warming at the moment and it is a travesty that
we can't. The CERES data published in the
August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows
there should be even more warming: but the
data are surely wrong. Our observing system is
inadequate.” – Kevin Trenberth"

Or the IPCC admitted false data how they dont even use science?

"The Nobel prize was for peace not science ... government employees will use it to negotiate changes and a redistribution of resources. It is not a scientific analysis of climate change," said Anton Imeson, a former IPCC lead author from the Netherlands. "For the media, the IPCC assessments have become an icon for something they are not. To make sure that it does not happen again, the IPCC should change its name and become part of something else. The IPCC should have never allowed itself to be branded as a scientific organisation. It provides a review of published scientific papers but none of this is much controlled by independent scientists."

Was anyone aware of al gore and ken lay from Enron were the ones who made up the idea of "carbon credits".
That is literally paying taxes for breathing.

I think if people really cared about the planet they would just kill themselves. lol. jk. I think this whole "green movement" is anti-human. it just puts off *to me.. that humans are bad and are killing the planet, but only if we pay taxes to a super oligarchy we can feel better about it. Once we have the new world order.. none of this will be an issue. Thats where this is all headed IMO
:na:

"Only a large-scale popular movement toward decentralization and self-help can arrest the present tendency toward statism... A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned, in present-day totalitarian states, to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers.... The greatest triumphs of propaganda have been accomplished, not by doing something, but by refraining from doing. Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth."

I read all those. Some are politically motivated, others are singular entities. Like the IPCC.

Its obvious that Gore and the others are using the situation to make money. It is America after all, and never was in debate. If you look at the general consensus the facts are there. Like the OP, and fact the polar bears are facing extinction are pretty clear. The ice is melting at an alarming rate. Never in history has something like this happen so quickly. The ocean is also warming, and when you have a warm ocean, the basic needs for fish to live start dying.

C'mon now. You cant tell me with all the pollution being dumped in the world, and the land being cleared everyday, is doing nothing to effect its balanced. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.
