Long story short, I lost my ipod touch at the carwash yesterday. Now I m without music in my car. So ive decided to repair a broken iphone. I've replaced a screen on one of my past itouches and it cant be that different. And im also in need of a new phone.

The phone cant be on a contract and preferably, only a broken screen.

The reason I want a broken one is for one the price difference, and to me its fun rebuilding electronics.

Did a quick look on fleaBay and the broken ones are not as cheap as I thought they were. Good luck.

Actually I forgot I gave the iPhone away to my sister. I do have a beat up Google nexus one though. The power button doesn't work but you can still turn it on by taking out the battery and putting it back in while its chargeing. You'd need to give it an SD card "up to 32gb" and you'd be good to go. It also has a cracked screen but it works fine otherwise.

Comes with 3x batteries. No charger. (I have a charger somewhere but I have to look for it. If I find it you can have it too.)

Let me know. Trades and money are accepted. Ill let it go for any reasonable offer :D.

HTC Google Nexus One - Full phone specifications

I appreciate the offer, but for my day to day phone I'd like a iPhone. Dont get me wrong, I love android more than IOS but with the way i tinker with things, it might leave me without a phone. Lol. I'll keep all my tinkering for my tablet, and serious things for my phone :)

We have fixed a LOT of iphone screens and LCD's at work, people are always dropping their company phones and its $30-$100 for a new screen but most repair shops charge $200+.

The 3GS is easy, just pop it off and replace it. iPhone 4's are a pain as you have to dig though everything from the back and take out about 20 screws and nearly every board until you get to the front.

I replaced my iPad-2 touchscreen last week. I'm not sure I would do that again, they're a huge pain. You have to apply just the right amount of heat with a hot-air gun to break the glue seal (I used a hot-air soldering iron) and I still ended up shattering the old glass in a few places. I think I'll have glass coming out of my fingers for weeks.

Are you still interested?

I have an iPhone 4 32GB with the digitizer cable slightly cut (the touch screen only senses some stripes) and an internal "bubble" on the front glass. LCD is fine and as far as I can tell everything else is OK. If you're interested I can provide pictures and tell you the story of how I broke it.

iphone 4/4s are a pain and FYI the lcd is molded with the glass so there is no easy "just replace the glass" fixes as far as I know
