Anyone play DayZ?

I just started playing DayZ, looking to see if there are any friendly people to play with.

DayZ is a mod are Arma 2, it is essentially an open world zombie survival game on PC. You run around the world gathering supplies, guns, food, ect in a post zombie world.
It's suppose to be a co-op game, but 99% of the time the other players in the world will quickly put a bullet in your head to steal your supplies. Once you die, it's over and you have to start again with nothing....

Looks like a fun game, Been watching a lot of walking dead lately so i know how to survive in that hostile environment virtally !! :beer:

I tried to install it but it was complicated, but that was a while ago...there is probably a proper installer now.

Yeah it's definitely not user friendly.
I bought the Arma 2 expansion on Steam for $25.
You install that on stem, then download DayZCommander (google it)

From that application it will install the Day Z mod. DayZCommander is also used for playing. it will list the DayZ servers to play on.

You can rent your own server for like $30 a month. I guess there aren't many players on LPF or i'd see about getting our won LPF server.

Yeah I did for a while then scripter kinda killed it for me they would script in high powered rifles and barracade them self's on building and stuff. Fun game especially when I can across a scripters body loaded with stuff.
