Anyone notice the huge increase of members lately?

Only 2 months ago the average number of users online was only about 30.. now it seems every time i get on theres 80 or more, this forum is really growing.

Has anyone else noticed that?

I did, one day it all just jumped. The record for the maximum # of users online was around 40, then, that one day a whole bunch of people logged in and the record went up to 93. Now it's 107

Probably from stuff like the videos on Youtube and Metacafe of all the developments going on here! LPF is the place to learn! Great stuff here. Looks like the words out...

P.S. Not to knock LE, but I can't just browse there. You have to log on first?? Kind of strange. I notice that there's only about 20 people at a time on-line over there anyway. Sometimes a guy just wants to browse. Why MAKE a person log on just to browse?

Lol i know, how do you even know what its like when you cant see anything.. plus why go there when there is like 100 people here almost all the time, just look at how many new posts were getting each day now.

I think c0ld may have changed the settings to show users that have been active in the past couple of hours instead of maybe an hour like earlier. It keeps your name on the list for a while after you log out, so I think it was just a change in the timing for saying a user is online.

No that's not it, I just logged out and looked up my name throught the member's list like 5 times but it wasn't there. Come on man, we all know the forum is getting big as hell. ;D

I've known about this forum for some time, not long after it was created. But I decided to join (I generally don't have the time to spend on more than a handful of forums of any subject in a given day, so I have to be choosy) simply because I'm familiar with many members here and I recently got sick and tired of "another laser forum".
