Is there anyone here who is "laserphile" while at the same time he also an audiophile who constantly go to head-fi forum to discuss about headphone/earphone?

lol Things... DX earphones.

What if we are and don't want to admit it? >_>

I have Alessandro MS-1, UE superfi.5 and Head-Direct RE0. Portable source, Cowon D2. I have a set of kit speakers from LSK, M4 monitors, for listening at home.

Not a huge audiophile, but I like quality sound.

^^ pretty much same here

I play guitar and a bit of drums, and listen to certain very "specific" subgenres of metal that require excessively high-quality speakers/headphones to properly understand and appreciate it. Naturally, I have some very good setups for both guitar, drums, etc. as well as some decent $300 headphones for usage with anything and everything (but mainly for listening to music). Also obsessed with perfecting EQ settings on a per-album basis in iTunes

audiophile, guilty as charged :p

peace & thanks

Meh, I'd rather put more of my money into an actual sound system rather than headphones, DX ones are fine :p

I do side work at the SA Center where we do SACD mastering and publishing so I guess that'd qualify me somewhat.. Headphones right now are Sennheiser HD-650s, LittleDot MKivSE amp, 6h30p-DR tubes in that.

The nice thing about being an audiophile is that people actually appreciate your stuff. You show them a $1000 portable laser and they're like "so uh..You spent all of that money on a green light that can burn things and blind people".

You show them your sound system/home theater and they're like "holy shit that's awesome".

Love the tubeamps guys!

Unfortunately I haven't been around long enough to have used a tube amp, seems like a cool looking thing to have on your bench. The orange filaments and some UV LED's is a lightshow in itself :)

LOL, old memories ..... my first DIY hi-fi ampli was using 2 x EL84 with a dual triode as preamp part for each channel, and, just for let you know how much i'm old, when i assembled it, there was no PCB to use for support components, and the tube sockets was ceramic ..... :p

You can buy them new either assembled or in kit form pretty easily. It will just cost you a fair amount $500+. This is a pretty accurate representation of how sick these look in a dark room.
