Bedfordsure? . . . no you can't grow hemp in Bedferdshire . . . ;)

It certainly can be. Large fields of it were planted in this area for research. One night, most of it vanished as it was mistaken but the local weeders for...

Hemp is legal but not marijuanna :) Thats two different thing.
Its much more efficient than cotton and corn,
you can make clothes, food, and a bunch of things with it.

I have not enough room for an almond tree.

... Yes cannabis. Which can also be grown in bedfrodeshire! Never by me BTW. That would be stoopid and illegal.

I forgot one genuine crop to add to the list of homegrown stuff... Bracket mushrooms! There are several large Horse Chestnut trees close to me that produce a fair crop each year and they are lovely. I spotted some on a neighbour's tree after that and they were just as tasty. The next year they were cutting down their tree, as it was dying and becoming dangerous, so I asked if could grab some of the logs. I put them in the garden and now have yearly mushrooms! As the logs decay I will just replace them and infect a new batch.

Nice sort of wild harvesting in your back yard!

6 yellow zucchini, 3 bell peppers, 2 tomato plants and that crazy chili from India, Naga Jolokia.

The cantaloupe was over run by the zucchini plants. All this in California clay soil. I had to use 7 bags of amend and 2 bags bull dung to loosen it up.

Not in America it's not. Hemp products are legal in the USA, but not the plant. The US is one of only like 2 or 3 countries in the world where hemp is illegal to grow or process.

Anyways, in my garden we have a plum tree, a fig tree, and some wild blackberries which are eating my tool shed. (For those of you who don't live anywhere blackberries grow wild, they're a real pain.. The grow like 6 inches a day, and within a season they can engulf whole buildings in thorny brambles.)

I was thinking of planting some herbs.. Maybe some oregano, rosemary, basil, chives, stuff like that. I keep wanting to make some pesto, but they charge like $2 for a tiny sprig of basil, so a pesto sauce could end up costing fifty bucks.

On my walk to work, I've noticed a lot of edible stuff on public property... Wild peas, wild carrots, some sort of kale, nectarines, pears, apples, fennel, rosemary, raspberries, the list goes on. Some days I've actually picked my lunch on my way to work.

It's legal to grow up to five plants for personal use if you have a medical license in California. (I love this state)
In Oregon, I don't even think you need a license. :)

Yeah feel free to drop me a PM anytime, BTW you have an impressive looking layout there :)
I've got most my remaining herb collection in pots & wheeled planters I made out of pallets, as I'm renting atm & makes it a whole lot easier to shift.

Some did'nt make the hard winter we had this year, so now im constantly on the look out for hardy unusual replacments that can hack the cold

however bought a teatree plant this week that seems to love the humidity of the greenhouse, This will be put it in my grow tent just before first frost along with my Calea zacatechichi that I know wont accept our winter months
Here's some of them anyway

Is that your grow? if it is, I'm impressed, looks nicee! Which strain?

We've got some peppers and some chillis growing and a few herbs such as rosemary, nothing much else though. Used to have strawberrys and oranges years ago ... cat destroyed the orange tree, and we stopped growing the strawberrys.

Nope. Not mine... (unfortunately), but if I had to make an educated guess, I would say it looks like Blue Dream crossed with Jack Herer.

How did your cat destroy your orange tree? Was it a really small tree or a really big cat?
