Tomorrow at around 5:26PM PDT, the sun will officially start to shine over the north pole after a brutal and long 6 months of darkness!!!! :D

This will offically begin the period of time in our year where a day's length will be officially longer in the northern hemisphere then in the southern one, which means less time for night shots(depending where you live :()

If anyone is interested I can also post some pictures from my computer "Sunlight App" which will show what it would feel like to be upthere!

PS:Yes I am a geek, I know stuff like this haha!

^ I think you Oregonians have similar climate to what we do in Scotland, we tend to have a lot of rainfall all year round but winters are surprisingly tame for our latitude (in terms of how cold it gets) as we have the jet stream. A lot of Europe actually gets much harsher winters than we do despite being closer to the equator. Sometimes it feels like months go by without any sun though.

Noooooooooo! That means the days here start getting shorter and the Cold weather will be upon us again. We have had a fairly mild summer here along the coast and I don't like the cold, not as bad as the North American cold though! I do enjoy going out and cutting firewood but
I empathise with Flamingphyro, by the end of winter one does get sick of that routine! Well I do hope you guys and gals in the Northern Hemisphere feel the Thawing of spring soon and have a long hot summer!
