I recently started live streaming to my Twitch.

I play CoD Ghosts and BO2. I was wondering if there were any other big gamers here, or others that liked watching gamers live stream.

Anywho, I am going live in an hour. Grinding for a drop-zone K.E.M. in Ghosts :)

I'm quite big on games , but old ones. I'm what you call a retro gamer. I love to tan a good game of duke nukem or quake, but hand me a controller for call of duty and I wouldn't even know what to press. Only modern game I really play is gta v.

Just uploaded my first video as a YouTube gaming personality!

It ran a bit long, but I feel I hit all the key points.

Thoughts?

Video looks to be good quality, video inlay is a nice idea. I personally haven't tried "let's play" style vids as doing anything but focussing 100% on the game completely buggers up my concentration, so I applaud anyone who can and still plays coherently.

Depends on what you define "big" as. I'd say "avid" works better for me.

I primarily play Landmark www.landmarkthegame.com, which is currently in closed beta *cough alpha cough*, but since it is still in development there is a lot of down time and most core systems are still yet to be implemented.

When not on Landmark I'm playing Diablo 3. I don't have the new xpac though and I just recently started playing again from over a year of hiatus. I played from launch through about a month before they removed the auction houses. The gameplay is 10x better now with the patch they released for the expansion, and I'm having a lot of fun playing now. I wish there were a lot more then just 4 levels (5 with xpac) but what can ya do.

I recently played Dead Space and Dead Space 2 and absolutely loved them. I don't see myself replaying them anytime soon though. I love the story, theme, implementation, and immersion the games have but there isn't much in terms of replay value, which is inherent to the genre.

I'm only a PC gamer btw, unless you count an old Gameboy Advance SP I use to keep me occupied on long trips and such. If you do count that I have 99% of the Gameboy Zelda games and MegaMan X (RockMan X).

I think the DEAD SPACE series are some of the most brilliant games ever, if, like you said, replay value is not taken into consideration. super believable atmosphere, AAA+++ sound design. I beat the super hard mode on DS2, (only 3 saves allowed in entire game, restart from last save on death) the reward, the "hand cannon" made it worth it. doing DS3 now. I just think EA is kinda greedy, they really hate their games being sold used and take annoying steps to discourage this. but I BOUGHT the game, I'm not "Leasing it's intellectual property, non-transferrably." imagine if they tried similar crap with board and card games, or DVDs. sorry, this DVD was already played in someone else's player, to play it in yours, please fork over another $5

I haven't tried DS3 because it isn't available on steam and you have to go through EA's nonsense to get it, but I may give in eventually. Agree totally about the used games issue though.

An interesting aside; I can't play thriller/suspense games on hard modes as I have to limit my adrenaline stimulus exposure due to having Addison's Disease. When I first started playing Dead Space 1 on normal I could only take short play sessions until I became more desensitized and adjusted to it. Getting the force gun helped a lot too since it's my fav/best weapon and gave me a bigger comfort zone.

I always play on hard, though it certainly adds intensity when a normal enemy can kill you in one or two hits. I die a lot, but all those deaths let you strategize better and ultimately make you better at the game. it's not as scary to me because it's third person, but it is the scariest third person game I've played.

necromorphs are way scarier than zombies, period.

the hand cannon in DS2 is quite humorous, and does add a fraction of replay value once you hand the game it's ass on a platinum platter. basically it's a #1 foam glove like at sports games, you make it into a hand gun, point it and necromporhs and they die. unlimited ammo and magazine, which doesnt show up. primary fire is bang, secondary is pew pew pew

[Shameless plug!]

I livestream everyday ( starting 5pm central), and am now uploading once, maybe twice daily. If you're into that sorta thing, maybe drop by and check it out?

Even if it's just for criticism, I could use it as I am just starting.

Thanks!!

Here's my recent video, and this is also the channel all my videos will be on :) It also has links to all my social media outlets.

No more plugs!
