This will stir things up in North Korea...

Edit: Context:

His son who will take over, really wants to go to war with South Korea.

That is something the US does not need to get into anytime soon.

I curious what that will do for the nuclear program talks. Those are supposed to start up again soon from what I've read.

Yep I agree, kind of ironic because the reason he always rode the train was because he was afraid of dying on a airplane.

I live about 30Km South of the DMZ. I can tell you that this has a potential for some serious implications over the next few days or weeks. 1st off we are on high alert here. I work right next to the DMZ (within 5km) and saw many troops moving heavy gear towards the DMZ area today. Some pretty big tanks and Howitzers on freight trains heading to various localities along the fence line.

Interesting stuff. Many Koreans are worried about this situation... N.K. also fired another missile in the East Sea / Sea of Japan here, putting the situation into high alert status.
There is a "rumor" flying around Seoul that JeongIl was actually assasinated by a member of the government over 2 weeks ago and that now state TV in NK is trying to cover it up to make it look like death by natural causes. If this rumor is true the situation is about to get ugly fast. China is watching to exploit this situation to it's advantage. No-doubt.

US is already here. US must protect it's investment and the peninsula

There are always rumors of assassination whenever someone powerful dies.

I doubt we'll ever know the truth in this situation, or that we know the truth about many events in the past:tinfoil:

Interestingly this officially marks the demise the leaders of the so called axis of evil... Hussein, Bin Laden, and now Kim.

If there is a hell... they are certainly in it:)

2011 has not been a good year for dictators/communist leaders. They all seem to be dying :D

Being a dictator is usually a terminal disease.. must be real good when the going's good though, otherwise I can't figure why anyone would want to enter that line of work.

I know they've been there quite a while. I know a few people over there right now. There just doesn't need to be a war going on with NK right now though.

Seems like things are going to get interesting. Altough I have to admit to being a "typical" American when it comes to Korea. I only know the countries through the food. ;)

Well for one thing... they are countries:na:

On a more serious note though, I expect there will be some sabre rattling, but NK has been in a very severe depression for decades now, so nothing extreme will come of it.
