Went to the store and bought a $100 Amex,American Express Gift card.
I went online and was going to buy a Cellphone.
So i made a new paypal account, Enterted the new Card info Such as the Ex.Date, Cvv Number and Card Number. I click enter and then paypal says the card has been Denied by the Issuer. I log in to Amex's website and it says i have $100.00 On the card and it is ready to use.
Any ideas What i can do to fix this problem ?!
I really need to buy my Phone asap.

IIRC, you cannot use gift cards online, especially American Express cards. I've tried it before and only a few stores will take them. By "a few", I mean the ones that don't try to verify the card once you enter it. PayPal tries to verify, but since gift cards don't have address information, they fail verification.

Paypal sucks. I won't use it in any of my transactions from now on. I tried 3 visa's but they were declined by the system. Google checkout ftw.

agreed. I wish everyone used GCO. They raised their seller fees back in May but its still 2-3% cheaper than paypal...

I would use it, but it's mainly ebay I buy from online. Slim chance they will EVER use google checkout since THEY OWN PAYPAL!

I use PayPal exclusively... Never had a problem I couldn't solve on the phone...

I think the problem lies in the fact that a Gift Card has no Billing Address
and is therefore not a true Credit Card that can be verified...

@sk8er4514.... so Google Checkout gives you 1% back or Charges 0% on
transactions... the last time I checked PayPal Charged me $8.33USD on a
payment of $276.98 USD. That is 3%...

And PayPal charges me 0% on purchases...

You register the card online with all your information for that very purpose. For years I've been using them on paypal, just recently have they stopped working.

I, too, have never really had a problem with paypal.

I'm talking from a seller's point of view.

I use the 1% cashback from Paypal every time I go to the post office as well :) it is nice. Their investment money market program used to be very awesome as well, was giving me 5% each month on the balance I had in Paypal, which is great. Now the money market gives 0.2% back... pathetic.
