ADSL Help

ok i recently switched from cablemodem to adsl (this company does not block p2p)

i had to purchase an ethernet modem
it is (i think) properly configured

but every one in a while (it can be half an hour or even more or just 10 minutes) the net starts to slow down A LOT until it eventually hits 0 and i cant browse anymore


does anybody know what's happening? Is my modem/router filling up with addresses? (when i reset it it goes ALMOST back to normal)

but when i run cmd --> netstat [enter] i get LOTS, and i mean LOTS of connections...idk where they come from (only 4 or 5 of them)


i dont have any dialer or trojan horse in my pc

Well, I can't say much about WHY it happens, but I had DSL a few years ago and I occasionally had to restart the modem/router to get it working right. It may be the router, though. Have or know anyone with one that you could try swapping and see if that helps?

i had to purchase a router because nobody had one i could borrow to solve some problems i had beforehand
