I'm sure most of you are aware that some BB guns use a 12 gram c02 cartridge. So, i decided to find another gas ::)
I was browsing the interwebs for gas cartridges, and i found this:

http://www.breworganic.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=970

The problem is, it is 8 gram. I am not sure, but i think 8 grams of N[sup]2[/sup]O is equal to 12 grams of CO[sup]2[/sup].
Is this true? If not, then where can i get 12 gram N[sup]2[/sup]O cartridges?

Bad advice buddy. People have actually died trying to get high off nitrous. You're better off smoking pot or something.

I wouldn't use nitrous to power a BB gun. It is highly soluble in "fatty" materials and could dissolve your seals...

To answer your question, their molecular masses are about equal (44 each), therefore 12 grams of CO2 is just as much volume as 12 grams of N2O.

And about the huffing thing...it's just plain stupid. People die all the time from it. But remember, N2O is also laughing gas. Doesn't mean it's not dangerous in large quantities (it is), and you shouldn't huff it, but it doesn't have the same toxic properties as many other aerosols due. However, NO2 and NO are poisonous, and certain quantities of these gases are present in N2O. So even though you would be laughing as it happened, you'd still be poisoning yourself.

Nitrous oxide (N2O) is used as an anestheic/analgesic (AKA laughing gas) in some cases.  However, when they use it, they also mix it with oxygen because if you only breathe in straight N20 you're basically suffocating yourself (especially when you get dumbasses who stick their head in a bag with it).

N2O and CO2 have about the same molecular weight, but N20's gas density is slightly smaller meaning it will take up more volume for the same mass and thus less mass per ejection volume to propel the projectile and less energy transfer, so it quite possibly will make you lose FPS.

In all fairness... nitrous isn't considered one of those 'huffing' drugs. The gas itself is actually psychoactive, rather than just depriving your brain of oxygen like paints and glues and such. It's like taking any other drug, it actually changes how the brain works for a short period rather than just trying to starve it. Now I'm not condoning drug use, but I do like people to be well informed. Also, the only reason nitrous could ever kill you is due to the simple fact that it contains no oxygen. Lungs dont work on N2O!!! It works in dentists office as a 70/30 mix, nitrous/oxygen.

The more you know.

Remember what I said earlier though: N2O not intended to inhale is not very pure, and contains NO2 and NO, which are toxic.

I remember reading somewhere that some guy died masturbating.
