Please just edit your first post. I noticed a similar thing going on in your HID flashlight thread. If the next post was a day later, it would be fine. Not three posts in 3 minutes though.

As for the laser, I would say it is 405nm at that price.

Might be 420nm. Most higher power "405" tends to be >410nm anyway. I've seen some as high as 418nm. I'll get one and let you know. 220V isn't ideal, but it should be fairly easy to modify that.

They are 79 bucks....little too much for my tastes. But if they are 420nm, then it might be worth it.

Also...I have a feeling every "smoker" on this forum is going to be all about that wavelength. *rolls eyes*

Much appreciated Let me know when you get one. I am interested in finding out if these are truly 420nm. -I am not a smoker i just like 420nm effect on florescent colors=)

I also plan to buy one, I guess we'll wait on your review ;)

I'm sure the diode could just be harvested and used in other applications.

Get a good look at that driver circuit too - it shouldn't end up being entirely worthless.

Of course, its worth is maximized when its left alone and with its proper load connected. ;)

But wait! That sounds like zero amounts of fun.

I've been looking for a 415nm+ diode for a very special build. So if these turn out to be ~420, I will soon buy one and rip it apart.

It could very well be 420nm. Roithner-laser carries a diode at this *wavelength http://www.roithner-laser.com/pricelist.pdf

* Also at these two wavelengths 425,430nm

I typed in the name of the company that listed in the link, OLYTEC CO LTD. They are selling it for a bit less than Aliexpress.com $84.86 vs $87.96
