but why the heck. what does the post count does? counting your posts. aren't the posts on all the sections "posts"?

If you give the post count a meant it doesn't have it's your problem only!

No need to delete it. It's in the right section, being used for fun. What we need to do is have the Other section NOT make post count go up.

The main "problem", perhaps, is that someone can be tempted to use this section for increase quickly their post counters, and, as you know, the number of posts also influence the rep power, so, some user may be disapointed seeing peoples that use this system just for increase their rep power, without do something for the forum or gain it from helping other users ..... and please look, i'm not accusing anyone, just saying that what i've seen from some posts, and exposing the interpretation of the posts that i've seen complaining about this.

I also, personally, don't care too much about the post counts, cause, basically, i look more about how the users act or react to / against the others, for make a personal evaluation ..... and, btw, for the same reason, i don't care also if my post count become reduced, if the poll get the most "yes" votes and Avery accept to implement this modification ..... cause i hope that the other users use the same system for judge me (otherwise, i had never opened that poll )

It can be done easy in VBulletin, but must be done from the admin (script options changes required)

Uhm ..... do i have to open a poll for this ? ..... i don't want to bother too much Avery, that already have a lot of things to do with the forum, but, from the other part, this may be the first poll that i open, and the temptation is big ..... yes ? ..... no ? ..... yes ? ..... hell, yes, let also me have a bit of spam (also if i can never dream to reach the level of our champions (j/k ))

POLL: Should we ask Avery to exclude the posts in the "Other" section from the post count, so cannot be used for artificiously increase the post count amounts ?
