Hey all --

Read this (you have to read to understand what i am talking about):

http://www.instructables.com/id/Ultimate-Night-Vision-Headlamp---500+-lumens-with-/

Done? Ok. My science teacher wants to make one, but with 16 LEDs instead of four. The problem is, he wants it to run off of one 12 Volt battery and last 2 hours. It also needs to output 2000 Lumens. What value resistors would he need to use to make this work? I am stuck here.
I have come up with this schematic, but this is without the buckpuck. With this schematic, it would be drawing 1600mA from the battery.

Why?
Yes they claim that cyan is going to be better for night vision but I guarantee you that with 2000 lumens it's not going to freakin matter.  You'll see EVERYTHING. On another note. Each one of those LED's is rated at almost 1000 lumens each so with 3 your going to get almost 3000 lumens. You could even utilize this little badboy right here!

Using normal LED's, there is no way your gonna acheive 2000 lumens. Maybe 200-600, but nowhere near 2000. Your going to have to look at a few star LED/luxeon/cree LED's, a few of them will gve you ALOT of power. As for cyan, maybe you could grab a few blue and a few green ?

Thats why he is going to use Luxeon Star LEDs.
