Today I'm 18! (yay!) And I just got a job yesterday at pizza hut (yay!).

For my birthday I got some small things, but they were wrapped in money! Otherwise I got bags of money (lawl)

One bag contained 18 $1's
One bag contained 18 $5's and 18 lindor truffles (a really good chocolate)
One bag contained some Axe shampoo, spray, and deoderant (wrapped in 18 $10's)
One bag contained 18 $20's
my Grandpa gave me $50
and my aunt gave me $50.

Together that's... $748!!

Now you all probably want me to buy lasers...

...but I'm going to get a new phone and put the rest in savings (and start a checking account) (lawl)


However since I now have a job, I can finally really get into the laser hobby! :D

happy b-day it seems like it was just 23 years ago i was 18
phones are overated i hate mine but have to have it i pay 100 a month but think that its only worth about 20 to me lol

Mine was yesterday lol!

I got my drivinglicence paid and my computer, 2300€, (3300$).

I had been told all my life that I was gona get a computer for myself on this birthday and also I had always been told that They were gonna pay me the driving liscence if I passed all the exams, so all together yeah!

Happy B-Day Mikeeey! Welcome to adulthood. $ave, $ave, $ave! Now you'll spend the next 7 years realizing how much your parents were right all along. Anyway have fun, but always remember, you represent your family name as an adult now so keep good integrity and live life to the fullest!

P.S. Keep close tabs on that new checking account. Most banks will try to rip off an 18yr old any way they can, at some point down the road.

my family did the same thing for my 16, wrapping 16 1$ etc

one thing about your checking account tho, DONT get a debit card! If you want to save your money. If you have a debit card you will use it all the time for small stuff and then realize you have only 50$ left and nothing to show for it.

Sounds like some nice gifts and a whole load of money you got there.
As an 18 year old at university with his own apartment I would definately recommend you to start saving all you can..
Moving out and studying is expensive as hell. You can't imagine how much food alone costs.. but on the other hand, if you can manage financially, these years will truly be the best of your life.

lol, I plan on getting the new ipod touch that's supposed to come out around this september or holiday season. I think it's a great multimedia device, but I don't want it as a phone. For a phone I'm getting the nokia n82.

haha that's awesome. I just hated carefully taking the tape off, trying not to rip the dollars.

Well that's why I'm going to have 2 accounts, a checking and a saving. My debit card will be linked to the checking, and I wont take anything out of the saving.

Yesterday as in... the 29th?? well happy birthday!
I too want a new computer, but I think I'll use my job money on that.
