What I propose is a private paid section of the forums. Other forums I frequent use private areas in different ways and it works great. By being a paid section you essentially keep out the trolls - not many trolls want to pay to troll. Hardforums for example, we often call the paid section an asshole filter and it works great. I am a moderator at another forum as well and we use the private section there for provide a place to discuss certain aspects which we dont feel should be in the public area. I think this site and the majority of the users here are great and I think the true enthusiasts would happily pony up ten or fifteen bones to have access to a private section. Lots of possibilities with this - special paid members deals, maybe offer an ad free option, etc. Plus it gives a nice extra chunk of revenue to support the hosting and site in general.

Anyways it's just an idea and for all I know you may have already considered this. Regardless, great site CS. If you want more info on the idea feel free to let me know. I'll also be dontaing a little soon regardless. The amount of information and soem of the deals and lasers I've aquired from here are welll worth helping to keep this site going. I hope you do give this idea some serious consideration. I'd even go so far as to suggest certian topic sections get moved to a private section totally like BST...
