Too bad there aren't MORE Members that think like ICU & all the other Donors that the lions share of the monthly total comes from. GOOD JOB TO ALL DONORS !!! We are off to another great start for AUGUST, just like we did in JULY !!!

Only one week gone & we're over half way to our monthly quota !!! WELL DONE

WELL DONE TO ALL DONORS !!!

We have exceeded our monthly goal ALREADY, & the month isn't even half over. To everyone who has made a donation, give yourself a pat on the back, 'cause I can't reach you.

As a user (and MOD) on many other forums, why not tag people who have dontated?

Sumthing like "Donor" below thier name or something?

I agree with ped. I have seen many forums get a boost in their donations by adding an "Exclusive" or "VIP" or "Donor" tag underneath the usernames. I've even seen different levels of donation tags. One might be "Silver Member" or "Gold Member" and another level might be "Platinum Member" etc.. Let's be real, Nobody likes to give away money. This makes people feel like they have accomplished something. Like you guys said, You are in good financial shape, so that doesn't really motivate people to donate that aren't regulars to the forums. I think it would get some more dollars headed your way with a minimal amount of work required to make it happen. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work guys.

I don't EVER want this to become a "job." ;)

I agree with ped. I have seen many forums get a boost in their donations by adding an "Exclusive" or "VIP" or "Donator" tag underneath the usernames. I've even seen different levels of donation tags. One might be "Premium VIP" or "Gold Member" and another level might be "Platinum Member" etc.. You may think of this as a lame way to get people to donate when most are willing to donate without it but I'm sure it would get some more dollars headed your way with a minimal amount of work required to make it happen. Keep up the good work. Adios.

I have seen that and agree that some will donate (or donate more) to see that "award" under their name.

However, I would also like to provide for some sort of "opt out" of it. Not everyone wants it to be known that they donate. Also, some couldn't care less. I donate every month (Yes. I put my money where my mouth is ;) ). However, I do not post in this thread any more. I did when we first got this going to try to help "rah rah" some into helping, but don't anymore. Now that we have our own personal "cheerleader" (Thanks Rob), I leave it up to him.

Peace,
dave
