Your welcome! Just hoping that a bunch of people 'follow suit' because of your recent expenses and your decision to keep LPF up and running. I know I speak for many when I say thank you very much for all of your hard work...

I know this isn't the right place to post this, but...

the USA enacted a law 10 years ago that provides broad immunity for intermediaries that host third-party content,” said Geist his BBC piece. “That provision has since been used dozens of times to immunize ISPs, large companies such as Amazon.com, and small websites who could ill-afford to fight legal challenges

LPF hosts 3rd party content, so doesn't that protect you against legal threats as long as it was a user that posted the questioning content?

im not a lawyer but i think that 3rd party content thing makes sense, but the issue was that 'moderators' made the posts

the law is strongly on my side but they tried to make the issue about moderators posting.

they probably realized they have no chance to win this type of case.

i had an expert attorney in a specific area but unfortunately it was costly

cant give any more details about this

Like I said in my thread, we should start some sort of fundraiser to help Avery recover from the lawyer costs. I'm thinking of something along the lines of raffling off some high-powered lasers.

Some $$ are on the way. Since I got interested in lasers this forum became my #1 resource of information.
