I will definitely be posting a thorough review with lots of media.
I think the batteries should be fine... At the Evo's price point I would expect it to have a good driver and be able to handle the voltage difference.
Even 1.5V Alkalines will sag down to 1.2-1.3V under heavy load, and since NiMH batteries don't drop so much, they should work great. Sanyo makes some of the best quality batteries (I have ever used). My Sanyo 18650s are GREAT especially in comparison to my cheapo off-brands.

I got these batteries pretty cheap with a 5% discount too.

Oh, I don't mean to complain: the graph says that it's 119mW, so above spec. And very quick shipping. Haven't played with it much yet, but it seems nice.

Exactly I tried my best to do everything as quick as possible so everyone could get their lasers ASAP. Of course I have to thank the quick response everybody had, especially with payments.

I received mine today (it's Patch Tuesday, so I went to the office late and worked late. The UPS guy left it outside this morning so I grabbed it on the way to the Jeep and unpacked it at work).

I did get a 130mW, and the included graph indicates a mean output of 129mW, max 142. Not bad, expecting ~100mW.

It's a nice smaller unit, lightweight and easy to handle, and standard AA batteries are easy, although I imagine if I want to play with it a lot, I'd want to get some quality rechargeables. The noted battery life is 30 minutes. It comes with a nice booklet (which is mostly marketing their other models), and includes 2 sticker labels. It was well packed, as others noted.

Mine does not have 2 of the minor defects Niko noted: the logo on the tailcap is centered, and the clip is straight. However, the beam is not straight. Mine too is noticeably misaligned. However, the beam is very thin, very bright and very visible. The dot is small and round.

Overall, I'm happy to have participated in this GB, as now I have a smaller, lightweight handy greenie to add to my collection, for those times when I may not want or need my RPL. Thanks to all who made this discount possible, especially Niko!

Yeah I'm very happy with mine. My mean is 122.9 while the peak is 140mW. Way better than I expected. There are a few nicks on the body but nothing too annoying. Can't comment on the alignment of the beam though.

It's my LG X10DR beam expander. Not my Evo, but still a pleasant surprise!

Lasershades arrived today, with a hard case and cloth. They fit pretty well over my glasses and wearing them I can see the laser point, but not the beam.

I just got mine tonight! It's a 130 mW I see!!! Shades were right in the box too!!! I'll be writing a full review with pics ASAP, I am so pleased! The unit looks flawless, and mine is doing 135 cold, to 165 mW! Such a tight beam this thing is indeed a joy and once warm is really stable in 145+ mW operation!
