I just want to chime in and say that my recent experience with WL has been very good. Their shipping was amazingly quick (2 working days from China to Denmark), their packaging very secure and the laser itself really really beautiful. They include extra warning stickers, a laser safety poster and a power graph with lasers.

High prices are still an issue to me, but with this GB some of their lasers are actually good value.
I will try to get a full review of the laser I received up soon - so far I have confirmed the power graph they sent along with the laser and posted a few pictures and beam shots in the Veteran's section.

Sorry to hear that, though Glenn is known for his GB's with CNI (and lots of other cool stuff too), so you needn't worry, you'll be ok :)

One thing, though: A light year is a unit of distance, not time :p

If the problem Australia has with lasers is that they're not FDA approved, then yes, theoretically they should. Now if Australia just doesn't allow for >5mW lasers to get in, FDA approved or not, I'm not sure if the laser would be allowed to get past customs. You can always just shoot an email to Steve, PM me if you need it :)

Or just let me know and I'll ask him myself.

The FDA is a USA government agency, so you'd need to consult Australian law to see what is allowed and how. I think in Australia you need a permit to own a "high powered" laser now, and all the paperwork needs to be filled out to receive your laser.

Such lasers will also be confiscated by US customs, FDA approved or not, if they lack an accession number. The fact that we actually receive the lasers at all is just a result of customs not checking each and every package the way Australian authorities do. Sadly enough, should more assholes shine their lasers at planes and such, you can expect the laxed customs policy to change. That'll be a dark day for hobby lasers.

Ok I got an email from Steve:

We will guarantee the delivery of the products.

This pretty much solves the problem, if you're in for one let me know :)!

@bionic: Thanks for the clarification.
