Hey hak. Well if noone else is interested I'm going to back out. You need ~10 right? Well I don't see it happening any time soon plus I wanted it before xmas. Or did I get this wrong? Can you order standalone units or have them shipped directly to the customers? a lil more info would be appreciated. Come on LC I'm all the time there we can talk about it more in depth :) Cheers

Sweet. Let me know when you have anything new. Yea I read that it is not a GB anymore but then you said you're not sure if they can mail me one right away so I thought more people needed to jump in. Anyway I'll be here to hear the news.

Is this the complete up to date version compatable with Windows7?

Does it come with all the hardware, software and cabling?

Yes it works with Win 7 just fine and XP, I have used it on both.

You get the hardware plug and play USB DAC (Flashback 3) and the software on CD. The software requires the FB3 plugged in to start but you can run it on as many computers as you like.

I got mine for $500 on eBay with free shipping from China but it took damn near a month to get here.

EDIT: Silver: You're going to end up in the same boat as me :p

I backed out.. Getting lsx from yobresal.. I can afford fb3 but it's an overkill IMO. lsx has the badass features.

I by no means claim QS is shit. What the one can do, the other can't so good. Not sure what more QS offers, but try and make abstract effects without lsx.. I got a demo of QS just yday, seems ok, it can also output but haven't tried it yet because I'm still waiting for a modulated laser.

QS is not shit, it's THE shit. LSX looks pretty nice too but after the whole Spaghetti fiasco I decided to go the proper commercial route for a little more cash.

You can certainly do abstracts in QS.. even LFI player has a bloody awesome abstract generator built into it and it's free.. and VERY good.

At the end of the day it's all about what you as a buyer feel most comfortable with. Quickshow is full-featured though, and so far I've seen or heard nothing from LSX that QS can't also do. The proprietary optimizations that Pangolin has developed are also key, and I don't think they can be found anywhere else.

Not to mention that the FB3 is super sexy :p

Also I don't know if the basic version of LSX has everything QS has... I didn't do enough research into it.

I dunno, I just read some threads on PL and asked here and there. The mathematical feature on lsx drew my attention tbh. And well, I might upgrade to lsx basic later. I just wish there was a detailed thread comparing the 2 programs feature by feature. In the end, I haven't made a show with either of them yet, so my opinion is probably weak. I just think that lsx will fit my needs better than QS at this time.

It's also a great deal cheaper since you already have the DAC.
