Hmm..... I'm VERY VERY VERY VERY Tempted to buy one.
I'll have to consult with old jar of pennies to check whether I can afford it.

Unfortunately, I can't use my Solo Card with G-checkout for US purchases. It won't "Transact in USD" for some reason. Therefore the only way I can pay is via PayPal. What is the total cost of PP fees to add on top + UK delivery.
Could you post a total price and a price break down.

Any pics of the different colours? Or have it missed it?

When's the actual deadline for payment?
And how is it going to be shipped to the UK?

Dam it!!! The more I read on this site, the more I $pend!!!

Hey,

Thunbs Up  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] to Ref who offered to switch up on colors w/ me to fix both our respective mind changes! That was very Cool! I guess we are both straightened out now.

I can't wait, I have NO Green Laser at the Moment, (well, one little 5mw'er for a gun sight-I can't believe I sold them all to gear up for this) How am I supposed to function like this???? (Personal Problems, I Know, what can I say?) Waiting on the Payment Page!

Hey DRLAVA,
What did you say about turn around time for USA Buyers? Please Mention that again if you drop a note in, if you think about it.

Thanks!

DR lava, waht is payment deadline? I decided to buy one of these, after seeing that other 200mW green lasers with the heatsink and the key and all those features are like 600 bucks...

I ordered my SenKat diode a while back, and *SLAPS SELF* RETARDED ME *SLAPS SELF AGAIN* didnt upgrade to fast shipping. when I get the diode, I will plug it into the driver and husing I have made, and I will sell it on ebay to make up for the 85 bucks I am short...

Plz make a long deadline, as I really want one, but I need to make the money first...

I see no reason to not still get one the review looks good and the laser well made.
Even if it is hard to take apart (probly a good thing in my case)

Re: **** True >200mW 532nm 'Aries' like handheld l

After seeing drlava's partial tear down photos, (thanks drlava for the review and tear down), I can tell that laserglow and their Aries have nothing to worry about. The similarity between this laser and the Aries is only skin deep. Internally, this laser is more cheaply built than I ever dreamed. I've seen better designed and higher quality driver boards on 5mW pointers. Also the low operating current that was measured, tells us that it for sure does not contain a 2W IR diode (1.2W at the most). The only way this things will last 4 or 5 months is if they only get about 10 minutes of use each day.

I bet Jason over at laserglow would agree and maybe even post some internal photos of the Aires just to put these lasers to shame.

Unbelieveable ::)

No doubt that the aries has more innards than this, it's also 2-3x as much $!. The members of this board, and indeed my review, see this as the good value that it is. The mere fact that you post in this thread complaining again about the driver board construction when I have rebutted your comments in the review thread says that you ARE worrying somewat, and hope to persuade buyers against purchase. I don't see you posting too often, and this is my first thread you have posted in, only to try to bash the product. Even if this has 1.2W diode, you must admit that it is not overdriven and that the crystal efficiency is quite excellent. Your use of suh words as 'than I ever dreamed' and 'Unbeleivable' gives credence to the fact that you have contrarian intentions. Please leave this thread alone, free from 'threadcrapping'.
Thanks.

Re: **** True >200mW 532nm 'Aries' like handheld l

I seriously doubt that Jack is worried about losing buisness to a one time group buy. He does, however, know a decent amount about lasers, quality, etc. I doubt he believes that if he gets you guys to not spend 400 bucks on this laser, that you will sprint over to optotronics and drop a grand on an RPL-300 either. Don't confuse his knowledge and opinion on this group buy with what you think are alterior motives. If I can read correctly, he is giving praise to LaserGlow and their products, which is a competitor to him. A much bigger competitor than a single group buy. Just take his information with a grain of salt if you wish, but he DOES know what hes talking about

Re: **** True >200mW 532nm 'Aries' like handheld l

He does, I'm sure. but all of his complaints about the board were meaningless, except for the switch, which, IF it were to ever go, would be a $2 replacement.

Doesn't make this any less of a deal.
thanks.
