LOL im glad the GB happened in december, my mom JUST saw teh youtube of the 13 year old charged with reckless endangerment from pointing a greenie at a helicopter... shes not too happy I bought that laser now lol...

update: they say they have all the parts and are assembling and testing for good output before shipment.

Yeah my imagination can get the best of me sometimes.
My dad is the one my mom is worried about. I bought him a 100mW dx green laser and he loves being reckless with it.

I know, this the the GB of the broken record. next week next week, etc. However.

The current update is that they will ship them out in 4-5 days. I have been helping them with proper labeling and stickers, so the units have warning labels at the power button and the aperture shutter areas (some states require this).

They want you to know that they are very sorry about the delays, and want to offer everyone who was in the group buy a 10% discount on their type 4 multicoat style 2 goggles ( http://www.skylaser.cn/safety.asp ) (which comes to $60).

It's up to you when and if you use this...

almost missed the update in your post!

it would be really cool if they offered us discounted 10mW greenies, or a storewide 10% discount... but then again, I am in need of some 808 goggles...

I need a set of goggles anyway so hell yeah. Those looks like the goggles from Charlies and the chocolate factory(the new one) lol

The multi coat I find interesting, I thought I remembered reading another post about goggles like those not working as well, or not to be trusted? just want to find out before I go spending more money (you know cause like the 400+ wasn't alot to begin with hehe)

So they are going to be arriving to you in a few days or they are shipping them out in a few days because in the last update you said they would be shipping them out to you today.

Hey Guys,
   

I sure hope the wait is worth it.  :-/
I am a bit beside myself given a few reports on some of their other units.
But I am also holding out hope that their statement of wanting to break into this market with a decent product will reign thru.
Given that DrLava is up their butts making them fix this and that, I am pretty sure they will be very impressive for all of us.
(Especially the 2w focusable ones, which had to be made from scratch, not just a re-tool of what they had laying around, or so it sounds)
I also look at it like they will probably really try to make these the BEST of the bunch, knowing that they are under a very watchful eye and that the final results will most likely make them or break them out here.
Even if this is the case that we get an even better product than they would normally provide isn't too big a concern to me.
As if I get a great one, I will be happy!  ;D
Can't wait!

(Just think, these first 20, especially the focusable, will be a one of a kind special made unit for this GB. I think there was only 4 silvers ordered, me being one. That makes it a "one of four" in the World! Pretty Cool- )
