I am thinking of ordering them once the count reaches 150....sound good ?
I have to have a minimum order of 150 in order to place an order - I am out of spare cash, too so you all have to get us there on your own !

In a week or two I'm gonna order some diodes (Have some things listed on eBay for cash to buy some lol!) I'm guessing somewhere between 2-5 diodes.

There should be a set of instructions that match the parts supplied in the kit (web link).
To tell you the truth, I would make one if I was circuit savvy. The reason I am so concerned is because we have diode lives at stake here. Everyone wants to be a winner if you know what I mean. [smiley=dankk2.gif]

Well, FIXING would imply that it is broken If I sold broken stuff, I don't think too many folks would be repeat customers hehehehehehe ! I will be assembling a few of the DIY kits today (hopefully) and will see if I can borrow the neighbor's camers to film the process - if I can do it, ANYONE can ! BUT if you do not feel like you can do it, I am sure I could be convinced to sell some completed circuits, too

I've practically ruined my 1st diode (see post about snapped legs off) but hopefully I can resurect that with your and the other guys advise.
But +2 to the total for LD's and save me 3x Aixiz housings!!
What is the PayPal rate % that they take off you? Is it 3 or 4 %?
Should I just send 2x 17.50 + 3x 5.00 = $50 + 4% = $52???

i am new to this and have a few questions. what else would i need besides the diode and the aixiz holder? is much electrical knowledge needed (i'm pretty good with basic stuff)? I just want to get an overall idea of cost (17.50 + 4.50 + etc.) I don't have alot of money, but DANG I am a pyro and want to light a match! my dx30 can't quite get the job done and a powerful red seems cool. oh, and how fragile are the diodes? should i order more than one?

Yes, do order more than 1. I would say 2 at bare minimum or else you might be dissapointed due to standard manufacturing error. Most bulk products tend to have flawed units normally and as greg said with previous orders, he cannot test them all which is a good thing in some cases (less hands to go through). As for what you need, you need a driver, the diode, axiz housing (heat sink), power supply and something to put it all in.
